Squat Snatch!

  The most powerful and quickest movement in sports is the Squat Snatch.  I have always had problems with it but this morning I was determined to get underneath the weight and drive out of the hole.  Well sure enough, I did my body-weight for a personal record of 205lbs.  I recorded it and will be send it in for the competition of the week that I participate in weekly.  The snatch is very technical.  It has 4 distinct parts.

1)  The deadlift.  Getting the weight from the ground to your hips.

2) The pull.  This is where you pull the weight up throw explosive hip power.  Bringing the elbows high and outside.

3)  Rolling the weight over and diving underneath the weight.  Also called a muscle snatch.

4)  Sitting under the weight and driving up out of the hole.
