Performance can be altered by very low energy.   If you are cutting body fat, your performance in athletics or in fitness in general may take a direct hit.  Sometimes if you want that leaner look you must sacrifice performance.

I was cutting my body fat a couple of weeks ago but at the same time I was performing 2-3 workouts a day.  I noticed that I did not have the energy to perform at the level I needed to.  So what did I do?  I added more fats in my diet.  No not bad fats but monounsaturated fats, avocado, nuts etc.  This helped my performance a lot.  At the same time my body fat did not increase but actually continued to decrease.

My point is to listen to your body.  If your performance starts decrease, come talk to us.  You may need to add more complex carbs or fats into the diet to continue to make gains.  At the same time, we will want to make sure you are not adding bad weight.  If you have questions, Athlete's Fuel is here for you.
